Local Tech Entrepreneur Donates $500,000 for Scholarships

CloudNine Technologies founder gives back to support next generation of innovators.

Tech entrepreneur James Park, founder of cloud computing company CloudNine Technologies, has donated $500,000 to establish the Park Innovation Scholarship at Auckland Academy, providing tuition support for students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Engineering, and Business.

Park, who mentors students through the university's StartUp Academy program, said he was inspired by the calibre of Auckland Academy graduates entering the tech sector.

"I've seen first-hand the talent coming out of Auckland Academy," said Park. "This scholarship is my way of investing in the next generation of New Zealand innovators."
