Student Clubs Hit Record 42 Registered Societies
Seven new clubs join the AASA roster this semester, ranging from board games to urban sketching.
The Auckland Academy Students' Association (AASA) has confirmed that 42 clubs and societies are now officially registered for 2026 — up from 35 last year.
New additions this semester include the Board Games Society, Urban Sketchers Auckland, a K-Pop Dance Club, the Debate and Public Speaking Society, a Sustainability Collective, a Film Appreciation Club, and a Pasifika Professionals Network.
"Clubs are the heartbeat of campus life," said AASA President Tina Lam. "Whether you want to pick up a hobby or build your professional network, there's something for everyone."
Club sign-ups remain open throughout the semester at the AASA office in the Student Centre. Most clubs hold weekly meetings and charge an annual membership fee of $5–$15.
