Library Extends Evening Hours for Assignment Season
Main library now open until 10 pm on weekdays through to the end of Semester 1 exams.
The Auckland Academy Library has extended its weekday closing time from 8 pm to 10 pm, effective immediately through to the end of the Semester 1 examination period in late June.
The change responds to consistent student feedback requesting later access during peak assignment and exam periods. The Level 3 silent study space and group study rooms on Level 2 will all be available during the extended hours.
"We know students have different schedules and study preferences," said University Librarian Rachel Park. "Some people do their best work in the evenings, and we want to support that."
Printing and IT help-desk services will remain available until 8 pm. After 8 pm, a security officer will be stationed at the main entrance. Students must tap in with their ID card for after-hours access.
